Hey JH, just wanted to give you a heads up about a possible recurring bug. I'm currently playing the linux version, and whenever I access the inventory, the "Exit" button vanishes from the current location screen, trapping me. So far, I've gotten stuck in the alley, the basement and the RPD. I wasn't able to get very far in the game. Reloading from an autosave only seems to help if that save was created before opening the inventory.
Other than that, everything looks great and the puzzles are already making me wanna slap my computer. I've largely avoided the Resident Evil franchise, but I'm really digging this. I'm still not going to play the original games, but I'll play the hell out of this.
Sup. Yeah, I'm aware of exit button disappearance, you can still press right upper corner to leave the area (button is there, just invisible till you click on it or any place of interest). I just recommend to inspect and combine items in the screen which listed all possible locations to explore at the moment.
